Curtis Axel VS Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship Raw Report 11/11/13


Back from break we get a recap of Dolph Ziggler beating Curtis Axel in a non-title match. Dolph Ziggler comes out first.
The Crowds cheering for Dolph. Curtis Axel makes his way out with Paul Heyman at his side. 
Paul Heyman is still out due to CM Punk beating him viscously with a kendo stick at Hell in a Cell. This should be a pretty sweet match. I really think Dolph is gonna beat Curtis Axel and become the Intercontinental once again. Curtis gets Dolph in a headlock to take control of the match. Ziggler tries to fight back but Curtis stays in control. Dolph gets a drop kick on Axel and Ziggler takes over this match. Ziggler hits a suplex on Curtis. Dolph Ziggler hit's Curtis Axel with repeated "Elbow Drops" 
I love it when Dolph hits those elbow drops it's so much fun to watch. Ziggler goes for the cover 
but Curtis kicks out at 2 to keep this match going. Dolph Ziggler whips Curtis Axel into the corner but Curtis reveres it and send Dolph flying into the corner and Dolph goes into the corner so hard he flips over the top rope all the way down to the floor. That looked like that had to hurt! Curtis Axel rolls out the to go after Dolph. Curtis rams Dolph into the ring. After Curtis hits Dolph with repeated right hand he rolls Dolph back in the ring. Curtis  covers Dolph. Ziggler kicks out at 2. Curtis keeps hitting Dolph with offense strikes. Curtis keeps viscously beating on Dolph Ziggler. Outta NOWHERE Dolph plants Curtis Axel in a with a wicked "DDT" The Ref is doing a double count because both Dolph and Curtis are laid out in the middle of the ring. Curtis and Dolph both get to there feet as the Ref reaches 9. Curtis Axel runs at Dolph as Dolph is in the corner but Dolph side steps Curtis and Curtis Axel hits the ring post HARD WAY. The crowd chants "Let's Go Ziggler" as Ziggler and Axel run towards each other. Dolph ducks under Curtis Axels clothesline attempt. Dolph bounces off the ropes and comes flying at Curtis Axel with a "flying elbow" Curtis Axel gets up and stumble to the corner. Ziggler hits Curtis with a "Big Splash" in the corner. 
Dolph hits Curtis with repeated right hands while he's standing on the middle rope. Dolph connects with 10 wicked fast right hands. Dolph pulls Curtis out of the corner and hits a THUNDEROUS "Neck Breaker" on Curtis. Ziggler hits Axel with an sweet "Elbow Drop". Dolph goes for the cover again. 1, 2, and Curtis kicks out just in the nick of time. WOW what a match. Dolph goes for the "Fame Asser" but Curtis reverse it and sling shots Dolph into the top turnbuckle. Ziggler looks very dazed as he stumble out of the corner. Curtis Axel rolls up Dolph Ziggler. 1, 2, and somehow Dolph kicks out. Dolph Ziggler connects with a "Fame Asser" this time on Curtis Axel. I think Dolph gonna beat Curtis and become the NEW Intercontinental Champ right now! Dolph goes for the pin. 1, 2, what no way Curtis Axel kicks out and this match is still going on. Ziggler picks up Curtis and Curtis reverse Ziggler into a wicked "snap suplex" Curtis goes for a cover but Ziggler kicks out at 2. Axel climbs up the ropes but Ziggler runs up the ropes and does a "Face Plant" to Curtis. Ziggler goes for the cover. 1, 2, and Axel just beats the 3 count. Both Ziggler and Axel are slow to get up. Ziggler runs over to Axel and goes for the "Zig Zaggler" but Curtis fights it off. Ziggler runs back at Curtis and Curtis launches Ziggler into the air. Ziggler comes down crashing into the mat face first. Ziggler staggers back to his feet as Curtis Axel grabs him and hits the "Picture Perfect DDT" and gets the 1, 2, 3. Curtis Axel pulls out the victory and keeps The Intercontinental Championship. That match had a lot of action. Curtis Axel and Dolph Ziggler put on a great match.
